Do any fellow 56k'ers have tips for staying ahead of the game to combat lag? I remember someone used to play this server all the time with 200 ping and always friggin OWNED.. I wanna be like that guy!

All I've figured out so far is that it is a bad idea to try to avoid the saber in a way that would leave you open (i.e. jumping backwards).. that always gets me killed fast. At least against good people.

A couple of things on this subject...

1) Just because someone had a ping of 200 and 'owned' does not nescessarily means that he is, It could however be that he wins because he is so laggy that the oponent cannot hit him. Here one minute, gone the other, as it were.

2)Jumping backwords with the summersault move does leave you open to an upwards blue saber lunge, but at times it is your only way of escape, and perhaps you should take the chance. biggrin.gif

As far as staying ahead of the game, i suggest now leaving any other programs open that can potentially use your bandwith, such as Kazaa. As well as this, try to remain in areas with few players, to avoid large lag issues.

Talk to Kyzene.. he can't really help with the fighting, but he tries to stay low in ping. And to avoid backflipping, roll to the side. laugh.gif

oh that was very funny tyr......and ya i can help.....i think.....try and think faster than your opponent does since you have a slower connection on yur screen you might be dodging but in the servers eyes yur already toast, this doesnt work well for me dry.gif no comment why.......but anyways moving right along dont use dodging moves that you might take awhile to recover from.....and one more thing say if your opponent did a red dfa, and it would take you awhile to get to them it might be wise to hang back for a bit and wait for a different oppurtunity to attack. these are just....my thoughts....and we all know how useful those are cool.gif
