In response to Magnomious' question, and many others I've received asking the same thing, here is the definition of "Equanimity" as defined by the Oxford's Encyclopedic English Dictionary:
Equanimity - n. mental composure, evenness of temper, esp. in misfortune. *** The qualification "especially in misfortune," applies especially to me, even though the rest of the definition does not.  -------------------- Equanimity
