Just took a dive on Sublime! I have a lot of free time this coming week. Someone gives me a timeframe I can most likely jump in for a few duels! smile.gif

Having difficulties connecting to JK2 and JKA servers. I might have an out of date version of Sublime3. I can connect to other servers in JKA fine but when I try to jump on the RJ server I recieve a message about invalid PK3 files. I noticed sublime3 for jka isn't on our RJ site, but instead just the jk2 version. Anyone have a link for the correct file? Maybe the one I got off the jk3files site was out of date??

Hah, My sister married a Kiwi and moved over here for a few years and got homesick. I was wrapping up school and had nothing holding me down so I decided to travel and stay out here for a few years. Pay is good so I'm just saving up money and enjoying the experience! smile.gif

I'm not as gaming obsessed as I use to be but when I got a whiff of this before E3 I had to check it out. I'm excited to finally see a M rated gritty type of Star Wars game for the older generation of fans. Hopefully parents don't just throw it in their cart for the kids when they read the word Star Wars on the box excl.gif

Enjoy! smile.gif

http://www.starwarscelebration.com/

So yeah I live like 20 minutes from the convention center where Celebration will be held this year August 23-26. It was here last time as well but I ran into some money trouble around that time.

Anyways I know we've talked for years about meeting up with everyone. I know this would be a trek for some but it's definitely the biggest star wars event around. I will be going this year, perhaps all 3 days if money and time permit. Anyone else thinking of going??

I'll be sure to take pictures! smile.gif

I've got a couple of guys started up on sith. I'll find time to hop into your server, thinking about making a trooper. I'll let you know as I get the ball rolling. Fun game!

The game is out!!!

I messed my pre-order up so I'll probably pick it up after the holidays. The new year looks to be a busy one for me so no telling how much time I'll actually be able to dedicate to the game. Anyone else picking it up??

So far I find it enjoyable. It really doesn't separate it self from other MMORPG's I've played. But I really didn't expect it to. It's definitely fun, and nice to be in the Star Wars universe again. They came out with a new build for the beta so my characters were wiped. I've started another.

My main complaint is so far most of the worlds you visit are very linear. I might not have gotten far enough in the game to reach a more open area. I think you get your first speeder mount around level 22 which I haven't reached so hopefully when I get that the higher level areas will have bigger areas to explore.

They did add a nice feature for those who prefer to explore rather than pvp, quest, or run dungeons all the time. In very hard to reach areas in the game there are holocrons hidden. I've managed to find a handful while I quest. Some are in plain sight but usually it takes a little more thinking to figure out how to reach them. They give you a permanent slight boost to a specific stat (strength, health, etc.) depending on the holocron you find, but not a ridiculous amount that would make you overpowered compared to other players.

I'm in on Beta as well, what characters have you made?? I haven't really had enough time to sit down and play for the past couple of weeks. I think I'm on the revan server, got a republic guy sitting around level 20

Too much detail for a wookiee, it'd look like a furry wrinkly shoulder pad within a few decades. tongue.gif

Whoops, for some reason I associated alliance with the rebel alliance and thought you were talking about your future TOR guild =P. I probably won't get back into WoW with this around the corner. I still have all my characters though so if I ever do for any reason I'll hit ya up!

I've played WoW off and on for about 5 years. I always end up hitting the level cap then getting left in the dust by guilds raiding and I can't get into any of the end game content. It was fun, but I imagine I'll go into this game full force and play pretty often. I need something to keep me saving money at home while I chip away at the final core courses of my degree.

Plus I hear the game has more of a solo feel with the in depth story and there will be plenty of other things to do than just raid when I get to the level cap.

Yeah I pre-ordered the collectors edition. Unfortunately I didn't get the code until about two or three weeks later. So I doubt I'll get much if any early playing time in. I'll keep you guys (and gal) posted if I do get my hands on it early.

I think it will be released sometime at the end of November. Nothing official but I'm pretty sure they haven't set an official date and probably won't until a month or so before release. Reason being that MMO's such as WoW tend to release patches with new content when new MMOs launch to keep their players from straying away.

I've played the first one, but once I fell off the horse and stopped playing it for a few weeks I lost all attachment to the characters I had met and the storyline/side missions. I just couldn't get back into it.

I few months back I played the 2nd one, same scenario. Started it up, blasted through a big chunk of the game then let it collect dust for a couple of days and lost all desire to pick it back up and try to remember where I left off.

With that said, they were very fun games. I figure I'll force myself to finish the 2nd one before number 3. I felt a little guilty starting the 2nd without beating the first one. The beginning of ME2 felt a little lackluster but that was on me for not finishing the first.
