Hey... here you go...smile.gif

As I said... someone from the Jedi Academy community had taken over ChosenOne coding activity for the modding of both JK2 and JK3... and now he comes out with JA Mod 1.6... and guess what.. the exploit that was in JA Mod 1.5 is now resolved... so no more headache....smile.gif

Follow the link... dowload it ... and see for yourself

At least, not that exploit. I wonder about the yDFA escape issue.

I don't think it's resolved... it's only been 2-3 weeks since Orion has been appointed to the job... and in my thinking, his #1 priority was to solve the problem of the exploit.

Without being sure about this... I think, that this being released... if no other problem is found... he will move on to JAReloaded and continue the evolution of this Mod... so we may never see the JA Mod for JK2 where the yDFA escape will be fixed.

in our server, we had trouble with /amempower. empowered players would respawn with no force, and it won't regenerate until you re-empower. but after a while, you wont be able to re-empower or unempower or anything until you recon. other than that, 1.6 is great.

call this a hunch but maybe it's certain server providers or what things the server is set on like gravity, speed, or damage for instance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the ONLY way you can "correct the yDFA issue" in JA is to leave something or *somebody* in slot 0. If it's something, you have this idiot bot hanging in the wings; if it's *somebody*, then *somebody* has the hiccups.

Personally, I'd rather see some idiot bot hanging in the wings than play a mod that no one seems to be happy with.

Oops! Did it again. unsure.gif

"no one seems to be happy with"

<---- has yet to hear that, but am accepting all input.

Also, Infi you are correct about the Slot0 deal, which is why we don't have the push, but do have the yDFA escape ... though, interestingly -- we don't get EITHER not playing Academy.

Actually, I happened to wind up in slot 0 on DC last night and got the hiccups. Subtle has experienced this as well.

I got a letter from chosen one a long time ago that said that the slot 0 hiccup is not fixable by a mod; it is a problem with the jk2 engine, which he tried and tried to fix.

Ruggiero

Luckily it usually only shows up when one is logged into a private slot... of which we have none, anymore.

I too have spoken with the Chosen 1 and Orion ( the new mod man ), and they both say it's been looked at a hundred times to no avail. SO we do what most do, and stick Mr. Bot in slot zero and send him on his way. About what Pyro stated above with JA 1.6, on the empowerment. He mentioned this, but I have yet to see it in action. Mainly because I agree with Infinite. I don't see the nead for empowerment, so I will have to check that fault out.

On a personal note: It's been great seeing all RJ lately. Some have made it to our server, while i've been there, and even got to see TheLizardKing on TS yesterday. Truly awesome to have you guys around. Hope to make this more of a routine than an occurance. I know the boat floats both ways, so i'll make sure to visit more as well, and I think some of my guys have been coming around more often lately.

We should keep the traffic up wink.gif.

Lates.................
