Alrighty then, guess who. I'm back with a sweet new computer a an unquenchablle desire to get back in to skinning. So I thought I would start trying to get suggestions for my fourth skin ever, Sky Armor 3. Its a basic reborn skin that I think looks pretty awesome, it just needs to look more real. By this I mean the white markings are supposed to look like real armor and so on... So, any imput?

Firstly --
Welcome back, One Wing. Great to have you. As you know, I'm a big fan of your skins .. (mine included .. ) I'll leave the artistic commentary up to those who actually have the talent to give anything worthwhile to you, but it's looking great to me. Hope to see you on the inside. ITS ALIIIIIIVE!
GREAT to see you back onewing! Skin looks good... not sure how to make the highlights on the armor, though you might try selecting certain parts of the armor and adding some quick-double-ended gradients.... or 'satin' filters to it. or try the photoshop filter 'liquefy' if you have it.... but I am not sure. I just wear poor old Rodian clothes! Can't wait to see the final version.... and, of course... see you on the inside wearing it! Ruggiero -------------------- Oobawanga wata chopay polah.

One quick note, is that the blue 'loincloth' area seems a little abrupt transitioning into the regular armor-area....
But that's all that occurs to me, unless you undertake a retexturing... Rugg -------------------- Oobawanga wata chopay polah.

Hey, Angelic One! Long time, no see! (Where's the Beast when you need him? He's the armor expert. )
I'm a big fan of real world textures meself (fabrics, patterns, blah, blah). If Photoshopping, placement is much easier using layers. Tweak to your liking with those special effects filters. Satin would be great for shiny, but what exactly are you going for? The battle-scarred look or the spit-shined, troop review kind of... thing? Aside: Any plans for Jedi Desaan? So glad to hear you're skinning again. Love the ones you've done previously.... |

Thanks for the imput, as for Jedi Desann, I do not have a copy of the original files but I think Beast does and it is pretty much done just needs bot support and the team colors to be fixed.

Hey all... it'S been an eternity since I came here... and just in time for the new thread in 'my' share of the forum
Well... Good to see you all first... and now to the subject of the thread. The skin looks good, but like everyone said it would be super good if it looked a bit 'less defined' and a bit shinier (but I haven't seen the skin in game... so it may look like that in game). You would have to play with filter and such in Photoshop/PSP... but my skinning days are long over... so I would have to get my hands dirty again to give you a more accurate answer about the filter to use and everything. About Jedi Desann... after much searching within my backup CDs and all... this is all I found... I think it was your first version... there is no 'colored' skin for team support. Sorry for the Delay OneWingAngel. - Beast Attached File(s) jedidesann.zip ( 651.71k ) Number of downloads: 556 -------------------- "Separately, woman and alcohol can be quite fun... but when you mix them, they can make you a dumbass"

Hehe... I know... and just because it's summertime... it's going to be a bit difficult
I discovered a new passion (well right now it's just a summer fling... but I think I can make it grow) for golf ok... yeah... I'm getting older and it's showing... But I do think I,m going to get my hands dirty very soon... I was just offer to get into a game project (well it was kind of a long time ago)... because the project leader liked my Auron Skin/Model... so I may hook up qith those guys. Angel, let me know if yuo need any help that's it for now - Beast -------------------- "Separately, woman and alcohol can be quite fun... but when you mix them, they can make you a dumbass"

Hey Angel... I don't know if you've been working on your skin... but I've been thinking a lot about it lately.
I've played around with my usual effects in PSP and come up with some kind of 'procedure' to get a great armor look... with the markings and everything. So let me know what you want to acheive... and I,ll let you know what I have been working on Oh... and hurry before I'm stuck again with work, working out, and everything and don't have time to think about this anymore - Beast -------------------- "Separately, woman and alcohol can be quite fun... but when you mix them, they can make you a dumbass"
