On my old system, I needed to run JK2 in windowed mode with all the settings at medium. On Cloud Shark I was gettings 30-40 FPS in most areas. In the fishbowl there was one spot where I could get 100 FPS on a good day... without anyone on the server.
Out of the box w/o tweaks, I was able to run JK2 in full screen mode and all settings at maximum. On Could Shark I got 90 FPS in most areas. In the fish bowl I pulled over 200 FPS while looking at the sweetspot. So, here are the spec for my new system in all its beauty! Not saying that it will improve my game, but OMG what a system! Pentium 4 3.0 GHz w/Hyperthreading (dual proc emulation. One physical and one logical proc) The proc has been overclocked to 3.15 GHz with a max of 3.6 GHz 1 GB RAM (Dual Channel DDR400) .5 TB HDD Space (actually 480 GB of space). My next purchace will be 2 250 GB SATA drives, 1 200 GB ATA133 drive and one 160 GB SATA. I'm doing Raid 1 on the 160 and 200 GB drives for fault tolerance) TDK 8x Dual Format DVD Burner 20x DVD ROM 32x CD Burner (External/USB 2.0) 8 USB 4 Firewire 2 SATA Connectors 2 SATA Raid Connectors 2 IDE Channels 1 IDE Raid Channel 10/100/1000 Ethernet (Onboard, Intel) 10/100 Ethernet (PCI, 3Com) Creative Audigy 2 Platinum sound card Creative Insipre 6.1 Speakers Asylum GeforceFX 5600 Ultra (AGP 8x) 21 inch monitor (Primary) 19 inch monitor (Secondary) Did I mention that my system rocks?!?!?! -------------------- ============================================= • E .· ` ' / ·. My PCs are always works in progress. I use them until they die. I just recently buried my Pentium 75. And 1.5 years ago I blew up my AMD DX4 120...
