What a strange trip it's been...down memory lane. Here I am, reviewing 15 year old conversations about skinning and going, ...and I produced four skins myself at the time!
If I had to make a skin for JKII today, I'd have to learn how to do it all over again. It got me wondering, though -- if anyone is still in touch with OneWingedAngel, TheBeast, et al. -- if any RJ are still modding, mapping or, perhaps, even developing games professionally today. I'm very much into the Fallout and Skyrim modding communities, though I haven't produced any mods (aside from an unpublished companion mod for Skyrim) for those games myself, as much as I'd like to. There are already so many exceptionally high-quality mods available for those games, it would probably be a pointless endeavor to learn the ins and outs of creating mods for them. Not many developers/publishers even support modding of their games anymore, unless making garish attempts to include them in their microtransaction fiascos. I actually fear for the future of the modding community in general at this point. But...let's not get into that. Too depressing. Any news on this front? |

QUOTE(InfiniteWarrior @ Sep 5 2020, 03:26 PM) Not sculpting? I seem to remember your being more into modeling. No matter. Any creative outlet is better than none. hehe that's true, I think I had an easier time dealing with 3ds Max than Photoshop back in the days ... but I was always starting from something when I was modeling. My 2 bigger project were started from an existing model that I just added things to. And, it way harder to judge symertry and placement when you don't have the help of a digital tool That's why I now I stick to painting -------------------- "Separately, woman and alcohol can be quite fun... but when you mix them, they can make you a dumbass"

When you don't have access to the latest and greatest, you kind of make do with what you have. But, that's okay. "The only way out is through." Yeah? |
