Don't go crazy.

I am just trying to get a working copy of Sublime ready for JK3. Let me know any ideas for modifications.

Please no huge ideas that will take me years. At this point, just anything that you would like to see 'improved.'

Okay. So, if the new file size is due to missing textures from JO, how hard would it be to create a new Sublime specifically for JA (copy it to a new file) and call Academy textures in places where JO textures are called for in the original? Or would that take years? wink.gif (I don't map, so these are rhetorical questions.)

Naturally, if too many textures are missing, it's an incredibly lousy idea. Call me crazy. But, if it's only here and there, it might prove an interesting change of pace between games. (You haven't said which textures are missing. Is it actually 14.25 MB worth?)

There are quite a few interesting textures in JA that seem to fit the feel of Sublime very well. I can imagine a slight color shift from that soothing green to a just-as-soothing blue or dull gold in places, judging by the JA maps I've seen so far. But personally, I don't think I'd miss any of the textures from Lando's ship, for example. And the "blue room" is actually more on the gray side in the JO version for me. A little more color there would be a great point of interest between the respective versions.

New game; new map. Something along the lines of "Serenity" might be a good name for it. Seems to invoke that feeling, anyway. wink.gif

Infinite, as always, on the money.

I had done some of that last night! Right down to the blue. wink.gif

It will take aeons to do it to the whole map, so I am going to try and pick and choose well. One of the problems is lighting. Should I relight the whole map for JA? Or should I just trust people to adjust their brightness sliders? Most jk2 maps when in JA seem to suffer from dimness.

Euh... my 2 cents about the lighting... is that you could redo the lighting for the whole map... people are 'difficult' everything has to be easy or be done already... It would be a pain if you are on a server and when this map come on, you had to upped your brightness slider a bit, and then when it would switch again, you had to go to the brightness again.

If it is not that long or difficult, relight the map... and everyone will love it as much as the previous one smile.gif

Alright I know you said no major changes but.... can you put a sort of place of ships if you get what I'm saying like go through a teleport and bam ships to fly YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAA, nothing specail just a big platorm so no fps's are lost. Just think about it for futur versions
