This is the problem that I had with teamspeak after I did a fresh install. I hope this solves the problem.
Make sure your mic switch is on. This may sound stupid, but it really does resolve 90% of mic problems. Select Windows Select Control Panel v(or Run and then enter "control" and press enter) Select Sound and Audio Devices Select Voice Select Volume... under Voice Recording Select Options Select Properties Select Recording Select OK Under your input device, check the "select" box for your input device (i.e. Under Mic Volume, check the select Box). Make sure the volume is set to max. Make sure the device is not muted. If you have an advance button, select that and mark the device for +20db mic boost) Select Properties Select Playback Select OK Mute the line-in, mic and any other additional mic/line-in ports Close the window Select Test Hardware Select Next Perform Test 1 Select Next Perform Test 2 Select Finish Select OK to close the Sound and Audio Device Properties window. Close the control panel Start Teamspeak Start JK2 Join the server and take your whoopins like nice Kyzenes should. -------------------- ============================================= • E .· ` ' / ·. Let me guess... Macs have a clear mic with no button. They cost $1000 and almost never break, but when they do, they cause part of the West Coast to fall into the ocean.
Does that sound about right? -------------------- ============================================= • E .· ` ' / ·. F Your tears fuel me. Yellow is golden, but Red is quicker! |

How this is brilliant/beautiful is beyond me... I don't get this windows "joke."
... but then again, I would have no sense of humor either if I had to put up with those kinds of instructions.... We have a mic. We plug it in. It works. End of Line. Ruggierissimo -------------------- Oobawanga wata chopay polah.

Ruggie ole' boy... I was providing click by click instructions to make sure that Ky went to the right place.
I could have said "go to the control panel, Click on sound device, select your input device" Here is a MacOS 9x mic config doc... 5 pages of simplicity! http://www.telex.com/computeraudio/Files.n...ophones_Mac.pdf -------------------- ============================================= • E .· ` ' / ·. From the first line of deacon's example:
"These steps were written for Mac OS 9.0.4 and 9.1" Just because YOU use an OS that has not been substantively upgraded since 2000 doesn't mean the rest of us can't. Try this: Buy a mac. Buy a mic (or just about ANY peripheral: e.g. cameras, scanners, printers, etc.). Plug it in. It will work. Remember the iMac installation instructions on a 5-panel postcard? (of course you don't) Step 1: Unpack the box. Step 2: Place the Macintosh on your desk, and plug in the keyboard and mouse. Step 3: Plug the power and phone cords to the wall. Step 4: Hit the power button. Step 5: There is no step 5 Face it Deacon, old chum: Trying to make an argument that Wintel boxes are easier or more intuitive to use than Macs is a non-starter. There may be other arguments out there, but that one will not fly. Try actually using one for a little while before opening your big mouth again.... or you might find a rodian saber stuck in it. I never intended to argue about the simple nature of the Mac... I think it was you who started that conversation
I can argue Mac vs. PC all day. I know that in some areas Mac will win and in others PC will win. I'll reserve my comments for the next time you're waiting for a game to be released for Mac What's the turn around time... It will be out on calculators before it is released on Mac And BTW, did this fix work for Ky? --Deacon -------------------- ============================================= • E .· ` ' / ·. QUOTE(Deacon @ Apr 21 2004, 11:22 AM) I can argue Mac vs. PC all day. I would engage, Deacon, but it would be a battle of wits with an unarmed enemy. MWAHAHAHAHAHA --Ruggierissimo -------------------- Oobawanga wata chopay polah.

Hmmm... Deacon unarmed and Rugg with witt as sharp as wet noodles. This battle could take hours.
Maybe Rugg can draw us a pretty picture on the Mac. We'll leave the score keeping and other numeric/real functions to the PCs. Step 1 - Buy a Mac Step 2 - Take it home Step 3 - Cry yourself to sleep because all your friends are laughing at you Step 4 - Get a real computer Step 5 - Chop your hands off so you're never tempted to buy a Mac again. (Don't worry, Windows has voice recognition software too) -------------------- ============================================= • E .· ` ' / ·. F Your tears fuel me.
